(SAMMAMISH, WA.) -- King County Sheriff’s detectives have not released any further information, as of early Monday morning, into what appears to be a double murder-and suicide that occurred at a Sammamish home over the weekend.
The sheriff's office says just after 7:00 pm Saturday night deputies went to a house in the 24000 block of NE 30th place to do a welfare check on a man who didn't show up for an appointment earlier in the day.
"When deputies arrived, they found the house locked but could see three bodies lying on the floor through an open window," according to a statement released by the sheriff's office over the weekend.
Deputies forced entry into the house and found two adult men and an adult woman dead on the floor with a gun near the bodies.
A man and wife and their adult son live at the house and are believed to be the deceased.
The King County Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death and will make positive identifications before releasing the names of the three.
However, KIRO-TV in Seattle identified the three deceased persons as a local dentist, Dr. Richard Nicolini, 55, who has a dental practice in downtown Seattle, his 55-year old wife Mary Ellen and a son Ritchie, believed to be in his 20's according to the TV station report.
