Hundreds Of Thousands Of Pacifiers Recalled Due To Choking Hazard

(NATIONAL) -- The US Consumer Product Safety Commission says almost 600,000 Dr. Brown's brand "Lovey Pacifier & Teether Holders" have been recalled due to a choking hazard.

About 590,000 of the units were sold in the US and around10,500 were sold in Canada.
The hazard is that the "snap can detach from the pacifier’s ribbon, posing a choking hazard for young children," according to the recall notice.
The maker, Handi Craft recalled the product after 67 reports of the ribbon fraying and the snap detaching. No injuries have been reported so far.
The pacifiers and teether handles were sold at Bed Bath & Beyond, H-E-B Grocery, K-Mart, Target, Toys ‘R Us/Babies ‘R Us, Walmart, Amazon.com and various stores nationwide from August 2015 to March 2018 for about $10.
