(CLARKSTON, WA.) -- The Washington State Patrol has identified the type of vehicle involved in a hit and run on a pedestrian in Clarkston, Washington that left the pedestrian badly injured.
Clarkston is a small community of 7200 people in Asotin County in eastern Washington. It is situated just west of Lewiston, Idaho across the Snake River.
The incident happened on Tuesday of this week. A black SUV hit a pedestrian at the intersection of 5th Street and Poplar Street, badly injuring the person.
The pedestrian was identified as 56-year old Henry E. Franco of Lewiston.
State patrol detectives have requested assistance from the public to help locate the suspect vehicle, a black Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a male driver.

The Tahoe was last seen headed north on 5th Street next to the Costco Warehouse Store in Clarkston.
