Former instruction aide at Seattle school charged with raping student multiple times in school bathroom
February 07, 2018

(SEATTLE, WA.) – A former instructional assistant at Muir Elementary School in Seattle was charged Tuesday with child rape and molestation for allegedly raping a student multiple times during the 2016-17 school year, according to a local television report.

A report by KCPQ-TV says prosecutors asked that a $500,000 bail be set for defendant Albert Charles Virachismith, 40, of Seattle.

Prosecutors claim the alleged crimes took place in one of the school’s bathrooms, where the defendant knew the school rule was that only one student was allowed in the bathroom at the time and thus the defendant knew that the young victim would be alone and isolated in the bathroom.

Seattle Police continue to investigate the case.
