Drive-by shooting in Seattle injures two women
August 16, 2018

(SEATTLE, WA.) – The Seattle Police Dept. says Gang Unit detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred late Wednesday afternoon that left two females with non life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the scene in a black car, according to an SPD statement.

Shortly after 5:00 pm, officers responded to 22nd Avenue and East Pine Street for reports of shots fired.

“The female victims told officers that they were driving in the 2100 block of East Pine when they pulled over to let another car that was travelling in the opposite direction pass,” said detective Mark Jamieseon. “As the vehicle passed, the  suspect driver fired several shots at the victim’s car, striking the two victims.  The victim’s vehicle then struck an unoccupied parked car, as the suspect drove off westbound and left the area.”

The women were transported to the hospital where they were treated for their injuries.

This remains an active and on-going investigation.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Seattle Police Department.
