(NATIONAL) -- It must have been very trendy and modern in its day, this purse from the Stone Age that was found in Germany
It may well be the world’s oldest purse, according to a report in National Geographic here
Excavators at a site near Leipzig uncovered more than a hundred dog teeth arranged very close together in a grave dated to between 2,500 and 2,200 B.C.
Archeologists think the teeth were likely decorations for the outer flap of a handbag.
It is believed that over the years the leather or fabric of the bag disappeared, and all that's left now is the teeth, all of which point in the same direction.
