Clark County Doctor Has Licensed Suspended By State Medical Commission

(OLYMPIA, WA.) -- The Medical Quality Assurance Commission has suspended the license of Clark County physician Robert Slater pending further proceedings.

The Commission, in a statement issued Jan. 17, 2018 thorugh the Wash. State Dept. of Health alleges that Slater "is unsafe to practice medicine after testing positive for controlled and illicit substances."

Charges state Dr. Slater has not responded to multiple attempts to contact him.

Slater cannot practice as a physician in Washington until charges are resolved. Slater has 20 days to respond to charges and request a hearing.

Copies can also be requested by calling 360236-4700. Anyone who believes a health care provider acted unprofessionally is encouraged to call that number to report their complaint.

The Medical Commission promotes patient safety and enhances the integrity of the profession through licensing, rule-making, discipline, and education.
