City of Snohomish Issues "Urgent" Notice To
Utility Customers

April 19, 2018

Snohomish City Hall

Chronicle staff

(SNOHOMISH, WA.) – The City of Snohomish has issued what it calls “an urgent notice to utility customers.”

The city has become aware that some utility customers may be unknowingly using the payment service DOXO to pay their utility bills," said a statement posted Wednesday on the city's website.

The City of Snohomish has no affiliation with DOXO. We DO NOT recommend that City of Snohomish utility customers use this third party payment site for their bill payment. Not only will you will be charged a fee to pay, which the City does not do, your payment made via DOXO may not be received in a timely manner, possibly resulting in delinquent notices, late fees, and/or a complete disruption of service,” said the statement.

The cty is advising customers to pay their utility payments only through the official City of Snohomish website adding, “Our secure, free, online pay system will post your payment to your account by the next business day. The bill pay link can be easily assessed by visiting the City's Utility Billing page. Or you can click here to get to the payment page directly.”

Residents who have questions are advised to contact City Hall at 360-568-3115.
