Cascade mountains of Wash. State to get a lot more snow
Travel will be difficult in some areas

February 24, 2018

(REGIONAL) – The National Weather Service has a Winter Storm Watch for heavy snow continued for the Cascade mountain areas of Snohomish and King Counties as well as the Cascades areas of Pierce and Lewis Counties.

Snow accumulations of 8 to 16 inches were expected by overnight Friday and into Saturday morning with another one to two feet of snow possible Saturday night and Sunday.

A Winter Weather “advisory” is in effect until noon Saturday and the Storm Watch is in effect from Saturday night through Sunday afternoon.

Plan on slippery road conditions, reduced visibility (significant at times) and difficult travel conditions especially over the mountain passes.
