Body Found in Wooded Area At Lake Stevens
May be that of
missing man

January 28, 2018

(LAKE STEVENS, WA.) – Lake Stevens Police Detectives are investigating the discovery of a body Saturday afternoon along a road.

The body of a man was discovered just before 2 pm in the 8300 Block of 1st Street Southeast on the south side of the roadway as a search team, associated with the family of Jason White, was combing through the area looking for the 32-year old missing man who was last seen on on Jan. 3.

A team member located a body and immediately called 911 to notify police.

The White family had set up a search team for the day and about 50 people showed up to help out, according to a Lake Stevens Police statement.

The police department had a detective as a liaison for the Family. Investigators spent the day processing the discovery scene and working with the Snohomish County Medical Examiner to positively identify the person.

“The subject is a male with no sign of trauma,” said the police statement. The Medical Examiner will determine a cause of death and identity of the man.
