(EVERETT, WA.) -- A body found Tuesday morning is likely that of a Snohomish man who has been missing since Dec. 11, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.

It was was found about 9:45 a.m. at Dagmar's Landing at 1870 Ross Avenue and even though as of Tuesday the body had not been positively identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office, police believe it is the body of Henry Groeneveld, 63, of Snohomish, Washington and on social media, family members said it was his body that was found.

On January 30th a writer posting as Liz Dickson wrote on Facebook, “My Kind, Sweet Father’s body was found at Dagmar’s Landing in Everett just before 10am this morning. I wish this was not how my Dad left this world he thought was so wonderful. I wish he could have known how much we all cared about him. Please pray for us as we are just completely crushed. Again thank you so much for all your work, love and support…if you have a flyer up or see one up. Please take it down. Thank you so much.”

Police say there were no obvious signs of foul play on the body taken from the water at Dagmar’s Landing.

Groeneveld was last seen around 9:30 a.m. Dec. 11th in the 400 block of Union Avenue in Snohomish after telling family members he was "going to the water." The Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office will identify the body and determine cause of death.
