(NATIONAL) -- Unknown to many Americans, higher education in the United States has been slowly, over time "financialized" and transformed from a public service into a lucrative cash cow for private investors.
In other words, it's now a huge trap. A con game. A sucker bet, for many. And if you or your kids get suckered into it, you could end up being an indentured slave to a huge debt trap for perhaps the rest of your life because unlike other debts in this country - like Donald Trump and his businesses - you cannot go bankrupt and wipe out student debt.
That's part of the con of this huge con game. Like a huge stone tied to your neck forever, this bad boy will sink you and there is nothing you can do about it, for the most part once they lure you in and slam shut the trap door.
You can find Part 2 of an important two-part article by Ellen Brown here (it ran on Sunday) on the unforgivable and carefully crafted debt burden that this country's students face.
The first part ran Dec. 28, 2017 in the Sky Valley Chronicle and can be found here.
America's evil student debt trap is all part of the terrible legacy the failed Baby Boomer's decades of "leadership" in Washington have left us with. Find out more about that decades long failure here.
