(EVERETT, WA) -- Everett Police have arrested a 24- year old Lake Stevens man in connection with two armed robberies which occurred in Everett on July 30th.

Police say the arrest came as a result of information provided by a viewer of a local TV news broadcast on Saturday morning. The viewer, a woman, came into the Marysville Police Department and reported that she knew the suspect and identified him by name.

A Marysville Police Department detective contacted the Everett Police Department detective working the case and they began to investigate the lead. Based upon the information provided to the detectives, a photo montage was developed and shown to the victims of the two Everett robberies. The victims both positively identified the suspect.

As the investigation continued throughout Saturday the detectives obtained information regarding the vehicle that the suspect might be driving and the area of Everett that he might be living.

SUSPECT ARRESTED AT HIS VEHICLE

Sunday morning patrol officers in north Everett were provided this information and began to look for the suspect’s vehicle. At about 6:00 a.m. one of those patrol officers located the vehicle parked in the 2600 block of Grand Avenue.

Plain clothes officer of the Everett Police Department were called in and set up surveillance on the car. At about 11:40 a.m. the suspect came out of an apartment and approached the vehicle. Officers arrested the suspect without incident at the vehicle.

Detectives took the suspect to the Everett Police Department for interviews and other area law enforcement agencies, which’d also been looking for the suspect, were advised of the arrest. Several detectives from those agencies are now working with Everett detectives in an effort to determine if this man is responsible for several other robberies in Snohomish and King Counties.

Detectives have impounded the suspect’s vehicle and will be processed for evidence later. The suspect will be booked into the Snohomish County Jail on at least two counts of Robbery 1st degree.

The suspect was arrested in connection with a robbery on July 30th at 1:17 p.m. at the Lover’s Package adult store in Everett. A white male entered the store, displayed a handgun and grabbed money from the cash register and fled on foot.

The suspect was described as a white male 20 - 30 years old, about 6 feet tall, with brown hair and clean shaven. He was wearing a baseball cap with a letter on the front, possible a "W", a black sleeveless t-shirt with a "punisher" emblem on the front, and jean shorts. The suspect also had tattoos on his right and left shoulder and on his right forearm, which you can see in the store surveillance video image, attached to this story.

The man is also a suspect in a 2nd robbery, also on July 30th at about 9:50 pm. Everett Police responded to the “Love Zone” located in the 5700 block of Evergreen Way in Everett for report of a robbery.

In this incident a white male entered the store, walked around and then approached the cashier. The suspect fumbled around with some coins on the counter and then drew a handgun described as being similar to what law enforcement carries, and demanded the money from the cash register. The suspect then fled the store.

The suspect in this incident is described as a white male in his 20’s, about 6 feet 3 inches tall and around 200 pounds. He was wearing a black and white long sleeve zip up hoody with red scatter boxes in a pattern, jeans and black tennis shoes.
