BURGLAR SHOT IN HEAD BY SEATAC HOMEOWNER
February 22, 2012



(SEATAC, WA) -- The King County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident in Sea-Tac where a homeowner says he shot and wounded an intruder in self defense Tuesday night.

The incident happened in the 3700 block of South 191st Street.

The homeowner told deputies he was asleep just before 6:00 p.m. when e heard his doorbell ring. He says he ignored the sound but a short time later heard what he thought was the sound of glass breaking.

The homeowner dialed 911, grabbed a nearby gun and went to investigate the source of the noise.

The man told officers he saw his sliding glass door had been broken and two men, both strangers were standing in his home.

He said he fired at least one shot, hitting one of the intruders in the head and the other man ran away when the shot rang out.

The man who was shot was alive and response when EMT personnel arrived.

Officers were looking for the second intruder.
