(SNOHOMISH, WA.) – The Snohomish School District says help is needed across the district this coming Saturday April 21st, as school groups partner up with local churches to spread mulch, rake debris, build planter beds, power wash, pull weeds and more as part of Snohomish City-Wide Clean Up Day.
Help needed for this community service project is for 9 a.m. to noon that day. Last year, over 450 volunteers helped spruce up city parks, trails and facilities in town which was, by all accounts, a fine stroke of business.
Schools participating include Valley View Middle School, Seattle Hill Elementary, Parkway Campus/AIM High School, Riverview Elementary, Dutch Hill Elementary, Machias Elementary, Emerson Elementary, Central Primary Center, Centennial Middle School and Snohomish High School.
Churches participating are: Mountain View Community Church, Hope Church, Snohomish Community Church, The Bridge Church, CrossView Church and Restoration Road Church.
“Students, staff, families and community members are encouraged to join us in this school beautification and community service project,” said a statement issued by the district.
More info: call the district at 360-563-7300.
If you have questions about the event for someone at the city, please contact City Hall or Mike Johnson at 360-568-3115.
Day of event registration will be held at the Hal Moe Pool parking lot at 9:00 a.m. Look for the pop-up tent in the grass area next to the playground. Lya Badgley, Park and Recreation Board Chair, and Mike Johnson, Parks Manager, will be there to sign up volunteers and provide information.
