(FERGUSON, MO.) -- In the wake of the August 2014 fatal shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed black 18-year-old, by Darren Wilson, a white Ferguson police officer, Ferguson's Police Chief Tom Jackson was asked by a TV reporter if Ferguson police officers engaged in racially biased policing toward black residents.

His answer was no, they do not. But a new report being issued by the U.S. Justice Department about that department's activities seems to say that "no" was a wildly incorrect answer to such a question.
