THE PARTY OF “NO” BECOMES THE PARTY OF FEAR
And the party of no new ideas, no clue, no respect

March 05, 2010

Americans all across the country have got to be asking themselves “what in the hell happened to the Republican Party?”

Has it been fully co-opted by the nut case fringe elements?

The latest bombshell about goofy Republicans and what they think is ethical, appropriate and honorable in today’s politics is just so far over the top that even Democrats (including Howard Dean for god’s sake) were left speechless and dumbfounded on the evening talking head news shows.

NEW COFFEE PARTY MOVEMENT:
On fire out of the gate after hitting a major nerve

March 02, 2010

It was probably inevitable. Newton taught us that for every action there is a reaction. So move on over tea partiers, there’s a new, angry populist movement growing in the land and they are ticked off and fed up -- not with government per se’ but with those who they see as creating and perpetuating broken government, gridlock and the blanket stereotype that government is always the enemy.

Fed up with government gridlock – but turned off by the attitudes, tactics and objectives they see in the tea party movement – tens of thousands of Americans in cites all across the nation are investing themselves in a new American political movement: the coffee party.

The party’s slogan is "Wake Up and Stand Up."

TARGETING TOYOTA: U.S. ECONOMIC WAR DIRECTED AGAINST JAPAN

February 26, 2010

By Mike Whitney

Does anyone really believe that Toyota is being pilloried in the media for a few highway fatalities?

Nonsense. If Congress is so worried about innocent people getting killed, then why haven't they indicted US commander Stanley McChrystal for blowing up another 27 Afghan civilians on Sunday?

But this isn't about bloodshed and it's certainly not "safety regulations". It's about politics--bare-knuckle Machiavellian politics. An attack on Toyota is an attack on Japan's leading export. It is an act of war. Here's a excerpt from the New York Times which explains what is really going on:

NOTES ON AMERICAN JUSTICE (That from here on out will be for sale to them what’s got the cash)

February 23, 2010

This little ditty from the Talking Point Memo web site on Feb. 17, 2010. “In the wake of last month's Citizens United ruling, a powerhouse Washington lobbying firm is informing its corporate clients on how they can use middlemen like the Chamber of Commerce to pour unlimited amounts of money into political campaigns, while maintaining "sufficient cover" to avoid "public scrutiny" and negative media coverage.

COURT RULING AFFIRMS CONSTITUTION:
Now the Legislature must act

February 15, 2010

By Mike Blair, Catherine Ahl and Bill Williams

Washington State is failing its children.

Not a campaign slogan, not a political statement, not a platitude, this reality is now the subject of a recent Superior Court ruling declaring our State in violation of its constitutional "paramount duty" to make ample provision for the education of all students.

We urge the Legislature to follow through promptly on the court's order to (1) determine the actual costs of providing all children with the knowledge and skills to compete in our economy and meaningfully participate in our democracy, and (2) establish a stable, reliable means to pay for it with state resources.
