|EDITORIAL: Bob Woodward's Funny Money|
July 03, 2008
A JOURNALIST'S LUCRATIVE SIDELINE
There was an interesting item recently in Editor & Publisher about Watergate-famous journalist Bob Woodward, quite often a darling of the political left and one of the two guys who broke the Watergate story in the 1970’s that toppled the Nixon Presidency.
Odd, but in this day of 24/7 news a person still has to dig around like a dumpster diver to find buried news (seriously now, how many of the 300 million people in this country read Harper’s?) that ought to be in the “A” section of most newspapers and blogs (yet another reason you should read www.skyvalleychronicle.com every day).
It appears that some time back Woodward (on a very high horse as usual) took to task in print the Washington Post columnist David Broder for giving speeches to business groups for money. God forbid, what a terrible thing.
