Editor’s Note: Drug addiction tears apart millions of American families from all walks of life. Many parents who never believed in capital punishment change their tunes when it comes to the pusher or pushers that sold dope to their kids.

The ravages of this awful disease affects even parents who raised their children in loving, stable, good homes and always believed that drug addiction was something that happened to kids in some “other” family, in some other, perhaps lower socio-economic environment where parents were less stable, less loving, less involved in their children’s lives.
