This week comes the news that Walmart - the nation's biggest and most controversial low wage retailer - is an admitted felon, a common criminal that will pay $81 million in fines for a years long, willful and egregious pattern of illegal dumping of hazardous wastes.

The Sky Valley Chronicle is offering a reward for information leading to positive identification of a person or persons believed to have used the fictitious name "Micheal Broaks" to send harmful and inappropriate emails to children (as well as adults) as part of what is believed to be a more extensive, long term cyber stalking campaign against an as yet unknown number of people in violation of RCW 9.61.260 and RCW 9a.46.110.

Unlike many newspapers in America the Sky Valley Chronicle does not feel a burning need to tell readers who or what we think they should vote for whenever election time rolls around. We figure voters are smarter than newspapers and can do just fine on their own in that department.

(MONROE, WA) -- Monroe School District (MSD) state math test scores for eighth-grade came in dead last amongst the 13 Snohomish County school districts! MSD also came in third from the last in Reading!
