CDC Says Outbreak Of Illness Linked To Fast Food Chain Salads
Has increased by three more states, adding more than 100 to illness count

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – The Centers For Disease Control reports that 163 people in 10 states have now become ill as a result of a cluster of cyclosporiasis illnesses likely linked with salads from McDonald’s restaurants. There have been 3 hospitalizations and no deaths.

The number of illnesses represents a sharp spike upward since July 14.

(SARASOTA, FLA.) –- The Florida Department of Health says a 71-year old man died from a bacterial infection after eating a tainted oyster at a restaurant in Sarasota.
