(OLYMPIA, WA) - Federal health officials have confirmed suspected swine flu (H1N1) cases in Washington, which joins 38 other states that have confirmed cases. Nine people in our state have been confirmed with swine flu - seven in King county and one each in Snohomish and Spokane Counties.

(SEATTLE/EVERETT, WA) – At last count some five schools in Western Washington will be closed today – some possibly for up to a week – due to the number of possible H1N1 (swine flu) cases in the state. At last count that number was 13 cases.
