(SULTAN, WA) -- The Sultan school district has named Cal Johnson as the new principal of Sultan High School. Before coming to Sultan High Johnson was Executive Director of Secondary Education for the Mead School District in Spokane.

SULTAN COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC COMMENT

July 17, 2008

(SULTAN, WA) -- Sultan is revising its 2004 Comprehensive Plan to be compliant with the Growth Management Act. The Draft Comprehensive Plan and Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement are available for comment. Proposed changes to Sultan's 2004 Comprehensive Plan are available for public comment until August 31, 2008. Copies of the 2008 Draft Revisions to the 2004 Comprehensive Plan (Plan) are available on the City's official website here or by contacting City Hall at 360-793-2231.

(EVERETT, WA) -- Snohomish County authorities continue holding two local residents in the June 26th murder of 49-year old Sultan resident David Grimm at a residence in the 12800 block of 311th Avenue Southeast in Sultan.

SULTAN BASIN ROAD TO CLOSE FOR SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS

(SULTAN, WA) -- Sultan Basin Road will be closed between US Highway 2 and 142nd Street SE beginning September 5, 2008 and continuing through October 7, 2008 to extend the sidewalk on the west side of Sultan Basin Road.
