BOY MAY FACE CHARGES IN FATAL HUNTING ACCIDENT

(SKAGIT COUNTY) -- The Skagit County prosecutor’s office says a 14-year old bear hunter from Concrete who accidentally shot and killed a 54-year old hiker after he mistook the woman for a bear, may face a charge of first degree manslaughter in the death.

(U.S. HIGHWAY 2) -- A Monroe man died last Friday evening in the latest fatal accident to occur on U.S. Highway 2 in the Sky Valley. Like many others in the past, this accident also occurred at the infamous junction of Highway 2 and Fern Bluff road.

TWO CRASHES ON HY 2 IN ONE NIGHT: ONE MAN CHARGED

August 08, 2008

(EVERETT, WA) -- A Monroe man has been charged with causing two vehicle accidents on Highway 2 in one night last month. Since the accidents on the night of July 11, thirty-two year old Matthew Jordan of Monroe has been recovering in a Seattle hospital from multiple injuries sustained in the collisions. On Monday of this week Jordan was moved from a hospital bed in Seattle to a jail bed in Everett.

RETIRED ARLINGTON EMPLOYEE SUSPECTED IN THEFT OF $775,000

(ARLINGTON, WA) -- In what could turn out to be one of the largest embezzlement cases in governmental history in Snohomish County, a recently retired Arlington city employee is under investigation for allegedly embezzling over $775,000 from Arlington’s city coffers during the past six years.
