|PRIMARY ELECTON RESULTS: GREGOIRE & ROSSI IN ANOTHER CLOSE RACE|

(STATEWIDE & REGION) -- It appears as though it will be another very close race for governor of Washington State. The early returns in Tuesday's primary showed Democratic Governor Christine Gregoire and Republican Dino Rossi separated by only a few percentage points and a few thousand votes. With about 20% of the votes counted statewide, Gregoire led Rossi by 48.3 percent to 45.8 percent with the remainder of votes spread among eight other candidates.
|MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE FILED AGAINST YOUNG HUNTER|

(SKAGIT COUNTY) -- As expected prosecutors in Skagit County filed a first-degree manslaughter charge on Friday in Skagit County Superior Court against a 14-year old hunter who shot to death a hiker in the woods August 2nd. The teenager would face only up to nine months in juvenile detention if convicted of the charge.

(U.S. HIGHWAY 2 AT COLES CORNER) — Looking somewhat like a military invasion dozens of Chelan County law enforcement officers, many in SWAT team military type garb, swooped in during a pre dawn raid Tuesday morning and seized over 20,000 marijuana plants growing on timber industry owned land in the Coulter Creek area.

(SKAGIT COUNTY) -- The Skagit County prosecutor’s office says a 14-year old bear hunter from Concrete who accidentally shot and killed a 54-year old hiker after he mistook the woman for a bear, may face a charge of first degree manslaughter in the death.

(U.S. HIGHWAY 2) -- A Monroe man died last Friday evening in the latest fatal accident to occur on U.S. Highway 2 in the Sky Valley. Like many others in the past, this accident also occurred at the infamous junction of Highway 2 and Fern Bluff road.
