TWO CRASHES ON HY 2 IN ONE NIGHT: ONE MAN CHARGED

(EVERETT, WA) -- A Monroe man has been charged with causing two vehicle accidents on Highway 2 in one night last month. Since the accidents on the night of July 11, thirty-two year old Matthew Jordan of Monroe has been recovering in a Seattle hospital from multiple injuries sustained in the collisions. On Monday of this week Jordan was moved from a hospital bed in Seattle to a jail bed in Everett.

RETIRED ARLINGTON EMPLOYEE SUSPECTED IN THEFT OF $775,000

(ARLINGTON, WA) -- In what could turn out to be one of the largest embezzlement cases in governmental history in Snohomish County, a recently retired Arlington city employee is under investigation for allegedly embezzling over $775,000 from Arlington’s city coffers during the past six years.

FIRE IN MALTBY CONSUMES LARGE HOME

(MALTBY, WA) -- A fire destroyed a large two-story home Thursday afternoon near Echo Lake just south of Monroe. The Snohomish County Fire Marshall's office estimated damage at over $600,000. There were no injuries.
