MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE FILED AGAINST YOUNG HUNTER

(SKAGIT COUNTY) -- As expected prosecutors in Skagit County filed a first-degree manslaughter charge on Friday in Skagit County Superior Court against a 14-year old hunter who shot to death a hiker in the woods August 2nd. The teenager would face only up to nine months in juvenile detention if convicted of the charge.

BOY MAY FACE CHARGES IN FATAL HUNTING ACCIDENT

(SKAGIT COUNTY) -- The Skagit County prosecutorís office says a 14-year old bear hunter from Concrete who accidentally shot and killed a 54-year old hiker after he mistook the woman for a bear, may face a charge of first degree manslaughter in the death.

(U.S. HIGHWAY 2) -- A Monroe man died last Friday evening in the latest fatal accident to occur on U.S. Highway 2 in the Sky Valley. Like many others in the past, this accident also occurred at the infamous junction of Highway 2 and Fern Bluff road.
