(BOTHELL, WA) -- Be prepared for a closure this weekend on eastbound SR 522 in Bothell. Work crews will close the eastbound lanes of SR 522 between SR 527 and I-405 in Bothell from Friday night, Sept. 26 starting at 11:30 p.m. through 5:00 a.m. Monday morning, Sept. 29th.

INJURED STEVENS PASS HIKER PLUCKED FROM NARROW LEDGE

(STEVENS PASS) -- A hiker who lost his footing and slid some 175 feet down a steep, rocky slope near Mt. Howard was air lifted to safety about 8:30 p.m. Monday night by a military chopper from the Whidbey Island Naval Air Base.

U.S. HIGHWAY 2 LANE CLOSURES NEAR INDEX BEGIN TODAY

September 15, 2008

(INDEX, WA) Drivers heading over Highway 2 may experience single-lane closures on the busy highway near Index starting today. Construction crews will be working there on a $2.9 Million dollar project making permanent repairs to a segment of the highway that sank about seven feet during major flooding in 2006. Work on the major project is expected to continue through November

(U.S. HIGHWAY 2) -- The Washington State Department of Transportation reports that US Highway 2 will be reduced to one lane of traffic Eastbound from milepost 62 after 4 miles west of Stevens Pass Summit at Tunnel Creek Bridge up to the Stevens Pass Summit starting 7:09 AM starting tomorrow, Monday, and lasting until 5:09 PM November 14 due to construction work from milepost 62 to milepost 65.
