This month last year our close friends down the road at Amazon in Seattle (the mighty Chronicle's palatial digs are not far away from where Bezos and company toil away) announced intent to create a second headquarters for the company and in the process got metro areas across the country going into spasmodic spasms of glee at the prospect of luring those well-to-do Amazonians and the some 50,000 jobs and $5 billion in investment Amazon promises to the city that ends up being the chosen one

Seattle Teachers & School District Reach Contract Agreement

September 01, 2018

(SEATTLE, WA.) – Seattle Public Schools and the Seattle Education Association bargaining teams reached a tentative contract agreement Friday night and that means no strike and classes in the district begin on Wed., Sept. 5 for 1st through 12 grade students and Mon., Sept. 10 for kindergarten students.

Monroe School District Teachers Vote To Give Strike Authorization To Bargaining Team

(MONROE, WA.) –- On Friday, Monroe school teachers, members of the Monroe Education Association “voted unanimously to allow the Bargaining Team to authorize a strike,” if a contract agreement could not be reached with the district, according to a statement posted to the MEA’s Facebook page.

FBI Launches Web Page To Combat Foreign Influence

The purpose is to educate the public about the threats faced from disinformation campaigns, cyber attacks, and the overall impact of foreign influence on American society.
