Voters are being asked to approve school levy funding in Feb. 13 Special Election

(REGIONAL) – School levies (now called enrichment levies) take center center stage on the Feb. 13 Special Election ballot in Washington.

Almost every school district in Snohomish County is asking voters to approve one -- including the cities of Everett, Snohomish, Monroe, Sultan, Lake Stevens, Marysville and tiny Index, Washington (pop. about 200) just off State Route 2 on the way to Stevens Pass.

Campus events at UW canceled over security concerns

(SEATTLE, WA.) – As of early Saturday morning two campus events at the University of Washington had been canceled or postponed due to security concerns related to a rally that the UW’s College Republicans (UWCRs) will be hosting today (Sat. Feb. 10) with the conservative Christian group Patriot Prayer.
