(REGIONAL) – Jill Tietjen starts with the names. Some are very familiar: Amelia Earhart, Oprah Winfrey and Helen Keller.
Others, less so. There’s Lane Bryant, a company that would’ve been called Lena Bryant after the founder’s name except for a clerical error. Her company produced the first commercially available maternity garment in 1904 and continues today

| | | FDA takes step to protect consumers Against dietary supplements containing dangerously high levels of concentrated caffeine

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration took what it calls “an important step to better protect consumers from the dangers of highly concentrated and pure caffeine products.”
The FDA says such products present a “significant public health threat” because of the high risk that they will be erroneously used at excessive, potentially dangerous doses. Highly concentrated and pure caffeine, often sold in bulk packages, has been linked to at least two deaths in otherwise healthy individuals.
