TITANIC’S LAST SURVIVOR DEAD AT 97

LONDON — the last remaining survivor of the 1912 Titanic sinking has died. Millvina Dean, who as an infant aboard the Titanic was lowered into a lifeboat in a canvas mail sack and lived to become the ship’s last survivor, died Sunday at a nursing home in Southampton at the age of 97.

ROAD CLOSURES HY 2 & HOOD CANAL BRIDGE

(OLYMPIA, WA) -- The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) reminds drivers that U.S. Highway 2 from Leavenworth to 9 miles west of Leavenworth at the Tumwater Campground will be closed to traffic starting at 7:44 pm tonight June 1st until 6:00 am June 26th on weekdays due to paving operations from milepost 90 to milepost 101.

ROAD CLOSURE, SR 203 IN DUVALL

May 31, 2009

(DUVALL, WA) -- Effective Sunday, May 31st through the morning of Wednesday, June 3rd, road work will close State Route 203 from NE Stephens Street in Duvall to NE Woodinville-Duvall Road (Virginia Street) around the clock from 6 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.

(EVERETT, WA) -- A project by the WSDOT on the Mark Clark Bridge to Camano Island will require Snohomish County PUD to schedule two power outages in June in order to relocate the transmission line serving Camano Island customers.
