(SEATTLE, WA) -- A King County Superior Court judge has ruled that, although there may be legal problems with some of the signatures gathered for Referendum 71 – and thus with Secretary Of State Sam Reed’s acceptance of same in certifying the measure for the November ballot - he denied a legal challenge on the petition signature issue by opponents of the referendum, saying the group had brought suit in King County Superior Court when state law requires that any challenge to Reed’s decision be brought in Thurston County Superior Court
