(SNOHOMISH, WA) -- A grinding, head-on collision of two cars last Saturday afternoon just south of Snohomish on Highway 9 injured two people and blocked traffic for hours. (U.S. HIGHWAY 2) -- The Washington State Department of Transportation reports that US Highway 2 will be reduced to one lane of traffic Eastbound from milepost 62 after 4 miles west of Stevens Pass Summit at Tunnel Creek Bridge up to the Stevens Pass Summit starting 7:09 AM starting tomorrow, Monday, and lasting until 5:09 PM November 14 due to construction work from milepost 62 to milepost 65.

It created, right here in our own Sky Valley, the first new national forest wilderness area in Washington state in more than 20 years.
