Largest Salmonella outbreak ever linked to live “backyard” poultry was last year

(OLYMPIA, WA.) – Nationally, the year 2017 had more Salmonella cases linked to backyard poultry than ever recorded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Federal health officials tracked 1,120 cases involving 48 states and the District of Columbia.

Bikini barista in Kent, WA attacked by man who jumped through coffee stand window

(KENT, WA.) – Police in Kent say a man posing as a walk-up customer to a coffee stand jumped in through a window and assaulted a “bikini” barista, then attempted to rape her early Tuesday morning.

Seattle Police release video of fatal shooting of car prowl suspect

(SEATTLE, WA.) – Last night Seattle Police released a photo of a suspect’s handgun as well as the officer “body worn” video and patrol car dashcam video of the events surrounding the fatal shooting of a criminal suspect early Monday morning in the city’s Ravenna neighborhood which began with a car prowl in progress.

Man killed by street sweeper in Bellevue

February 20, 2018

(BELLEVUE, WA.) – Bellevue Police say a man was killed Monday morning after he was hit by a large street sweeper. About 10:48 am Bellevue Police and Fire departments responded to the 1300 block of 120th Avenue NE for a report of a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle.
