Gov’t Student Loan Watchdog Quits
Claims Trump Admin. has abandoned borrowers in favor of for-profit corporations

(NATIONAL) – The top US government official who oversees student loan complaints – and there are many - has resigned alleging the Trump administration has abandoned borrowers.

That man is Seth Frotman. He served as Student Loan Ombudsman at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) for three years and he is set to leave by Friday after handing in a resignation letter, posted here by NPR, saying the CFPB “silenced warnings” and favored companies over students.

Wash. State Insurance Commissioner proposes restrictions for short-term limited duration medical plans

(OLYMPIA, WA.) – Washington State Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler has proposed a rule to restrict the sale of short-term limited duration medical plans to three months, prohibit renewal and require enhanced disclosure to consumers about the limitations of coverage.
