IS THERE A DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE?
November 16, 2008
If there were a “Top 10” of videos that all Americans should see this one would have to be on that list. One newspaper called it a story that will "probably go down in media history as one of the most important and moving stories ever produced in television journalism.”
This CBS “Sixty Minutes” show segment was originally broadcast on March 2, 2008. When you click the play button on the player you'll have to sit through a 15-second network ad before the story starts.
This video shows the stark reality of the national nightmare and disgrace our politicians have bestowed upon once proud and strong Americans by leaving this country as the only modern democracy in the world without a sensible, cost effective and health effective national health care system.
This ongoing nightmare now bankrupts about 700,000 hard working Americans annually out of the some 46 Million Americans who have no health insurance AND those who have insurance. Millions more in this country are underinsured, unable to pay their deductibles or get access to critical dental care. And that number is growing.
In a modern European country if anyone ever went bankrupt over medical bills it would be a huge national scandal and front-page news in all the papers.
America remains the only modern nation in the world where if you or a family member get sick enough you can lose the house and everything you’ve worked for over the years even if you do have health insurance -- and damned near for certain if you have no insurance at all and no rich uncle to fall back on.
Americans spend more money per capita on health care than any other modern nation and receive far less in return. Unbeknownst to most Americans the United States has infant mortality rates in some states approaching those of Third World countries.

THE MAN WHO CAN FLY LIKE A BIRD
November 15, 2008
This video is cool. The guy is a licensed pilot from Switzerland who built himself a jet wing and uses it to fly like Superman in the Swiss Alps at speeds of up to 300 mph. Talk about an adrenalin rush. Now follow this thought for a moment. Watch what this guy did on his own. This baby is his creation.
And yet the big three American automakers with all their money, consultants, MBA's, factories and design teams (and all the history and experience they have in building autos) could not come up with fuel efficient cars that Americans wanted to buy and are now standing at the government welfare window with palms outstretched begging the American taxpayer to give them BILLIONS of dollars or they'll all go belly up?
Perhaps we should let Ford, GM and Chrysler go down and just give the billions of dollars to this guy. He seems to be a whole lot brighter than your average American auto executive.

Amazing video featuring images captured by the Hubble Space telescope. These are images of our own neighborhood, the universe we live in, yet images none of us will ever see with the naked eye.
RAGING MONTANA FIRE
November 14, 2008
(MONTANA) -- Not a video, just a very interesting picture of mother nature. You won't see many snapshots like this one. This is a photo uploaded to a website by Montana resident Macy Goode. The image is of the 2007 Chippy Creek Fire in Montana. The picture was taken at her husband's family ranch in Nirada.
