|THE ONE GUY WHO TOLD IT|
LIKE IT WOULD BE
November 18, 2008
Amazing, almost prophetic video. Peter Schiff turned out to be right back in 2006 & 2007 about where America's economy was headed (into the dumpster) and all the so called "experts" on FOX TV News who thought Schiff was smoking loco weed turned out to be dead wrong. ALL OF THEM WERE WRONG.
Schiff, who was economic adviser for Ron Paul's 2008 presidential campaign, is president of Euro Pacific Capital. He is the author of "The Little Book of Bull Moves in Bear Markets." In an October 16 article in the Washington Post Schiff wrote "This crisis resulted from government reluctance to regulate the unbridled greed of Wall Street. Many economists and market participants who were formerly averse to government interference agree that a more robust regulatory framework must be constructed to cage the destructive forces of capitalism." |WAYNE COUNTY FORECLOSURES|
November 17, 2008
This video really puts into perspective how hard some Americans in some sections of the country have been hit by the mortgage meltdown, come credit meltdown come national American economy meltdown teetering on the brink of who knows what? Just take a look at the extent of home foreclosures in Wayne County Michigan where Detroit is located.
Seems a fair bet after watching this that if the government does not give the big three (incredibly stupid and short sighted) American automakers the big welfare handout they're asking for, and they go down as a result, there simply ain't gonna be enough paper in the state of Michigan to print all the home foreclosures that would follow. If you have a job and a home to go to tonight where there will be a hot dinner waiting and no foreclosure notice, give extra thanks to the big guy upstairs when you say that prayer before dinner, ya hear? |JAMES HUNTER: PEOPLE GONNA TALK|
November 17, 2008
There's just something about this James Hunter guy. You know, the guy Van Morrison once called the best kept secret in British R & B. We first discovered him in an interview on NPR. His first CD "People Gonna Talk" (that he was promoting back then) contained about 50% standard B-side drivel, crapola you wouldn't pay a nickel to hear. But the other 50%, holy moly Molly they were just sweet and pure soul-soothing late 1950's soft R & B gems of the kind you don't hear anywhere anymore and fully worth the price of admission into Hunter's club which is vintage Sam Cooke.
Hunter recorded that CD on tape in the studio instead of a digital environment (to get that warm toned 1950's/60's sound) and purposely used minimal instrumentation. He also recorded live in studio with the band, no over dubbing later. As a result we get musical gems that are pared down, honest (guitar mistakes and all) sweet to the mind old-school Sam Cooke R & B only updated in a classic Hunter style. Nobody else does it like this guy does when the material is just right and he's in the zone. All this guy needs is a better editor to tell him what not to record and he could be a major player in the music business. Click the words READ MORE below to view the video.
|SPY SUNGLASSES |
November 16, 2008
Seriously now. Do geeky guys actually have this much time on their hands? Who in the world but a geek with nothing better to do would think to make his own pair of spy sunglasses that secretly video tapes everything the eye sees? Girls, next time you see a guy on the beach wearing sunglasses and looking at you up and down and sideways whack him up the side the head a good shot just on principle. What a world. No place is safe from video cameras. CLICK READ MORE to bring up the video player.
