| | AND A SIGN POINTED THE WAY

At first it started out as a distant glow in the night sky to our ancestors over 300,000 years ago. And then it grew into a vision of awe and wonder.
As it came closer some of our ancestors, by then who had learned to make fire and were conducting what we know now were the earliest signs of religious observances, thought what they were seeing had been sent by the gods.

| | WHAT HAPPENED TO THE AMERICAN DREAM?

Perhaps the video on the next page should be required viewing by every high school and college student in America, as well as other Americans who may not realize that the "American dream" is now mostly that: just a pipe dream.
Many Americans have read the news stories over the past decade of how the American dream has all but vanished for millions as "wealth inequality" floods the land.
But it is one thing to read the stories and see a few charts. It is another matter entirely to view a jaw dropping visual on where the wealth of the nation has gone in the past few decades -- a visual so clear that even a 4-year old would understand that we're not in Kansas any more Toto.
The video on the next page - which started going viral in early March 2013 - had, by that date, already been viewed over 3.8 million times.
The video has to do with the distribution of wealth in America, highlighting both ther massive inequality in wealth in America and the difference between our perception of inequality and the actual reality of it. This video will bring this reality into crystal clear focus for many people, perhaps for the first time.
The reality of America in 2013 is most definitely not what many Americans believe it to be.

| | WHAT SPACE SOUNDS LIKE

(NATIONAL) -- It is an unexpected question. How many of us have ever heard the sounds of space? We've seen photos and paintings of space all our lives but most of us have never heard the sounds that our universe generates in deep outer space.
Even though space is a vacuum and human ears could not hear the sounds space makes, through radio waves scientists can "listen" to those sounds by changing the radio waves they capture into audio waves that the human ear can indeed hear.
Sounds like the sun in the midst of a massive solar flare.
It turns out that radio waves emitted from objects in space can be turned into sound by ordinary radio receivers, which contain amplifiers and speakers that convert those purely electrical signals into sound waves.
Optical astronomers use telescopes to look at the visible light emitted by stars, and "radio astronomers" use radio telescopes to detect radio waves.
In 2001 scientist Honor Harger and her artistic group radioqualia created Radio Astronomy that is designed to allow listeners to "hear" planets, stars and other deep space objects through different celestial radio frequencies.
