(INDEX, WA) -- The Washington State Dep’t of Natural Resources (DNR) says vandals damaged a large sign at Reiter Foothills Forest recently, and the agency is asking people in the area to be on the lookout for vandalism and report it.

(INDEX, WA) -- An Index woman badly injured in a single car accident on U.S. Highway 2 earlier this month is out of the hospital and on the mend, according to friend and employer Cathy Curnutt , co-owner of the Index Cafe in Gold Bar.

INDEX WOMAN INJURED ON HY 2 REMAINS IN HOSPITAL

March 16, 2010

(SEATTLE, WA) -- Officials at Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center say an Index woman injured in an accident on U.S. Highway 2 remains hospitalized.
Katherine A. Hughes, 52, a long time resident of Index was listed Monday in serious condition in intensive care.
