INDEX WOMAN INJURED ON HY 2 REMAINS IN HOSPITAL

March 16, 2010

(SEATTLE, WA) -- Officials at Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center say an Index woman injured in an accident on U.S. Highway 2 remains hospitalized.
Katherine A. Hughes, 52, a long time resident of Index was listed Monday in serious condition in intensive care.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR REITER FOREST

March 11, 2010

(INDEX, WA) -- Are you interested perhaps in taking a leadership role on restoration, construction and maintenance projects at Reiter Foothills Forest?

If so, here’s the opportunity. The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) wants to train 10 to 20 individuals to serve as volunteer group leaders for DNR’s upcoming work parties, which will take place on the first Saturday and the third Sunday of each month.
