(INDEX, WA) -- Index school children present a Christmas program for the community on Thursday December 11. The program starts at 6:30 pm at the Index School. After the program ends around 7:30 p.m. all residents are invited to the traditional Index town Christmas Tree lighting at the park.

(INDEX, WA) -- An unidentified rock climber who sustained leg and chest injuries on Sunday September 28 when he fell an estimated thirty feet off the Lower Town Wall, a popular climbing area near Index, has written to a local web site thanking his rescuers.
