ANNUAL SUMMER FUN COMES TO SNOHOMISH

(SNOHOMISH, WA) -- Get ready for four days of major summer fun! Today kicks off four days of Kla Ha Ya Days festival events in and around Snohomish. Today there’s a carnival starting at 2:00 pm at Harvey Field, a Farmer’s Market on Cedar Avenue at 4:00 pm and the Kla Ha Ya Days annual kid’s parade also at 4:00 pm at Pilchuck Park.

NEW SENIOR CENTER JUST MONTHS AWAY

(SNOHOMISH, WA) -- After operating out of a local church for several years supporters of a new senior center in Snohomish are just a few months away from realizing their dream. Construction of the new Snohomish Senior Center, which began three months ago in the 500 block of Fourth Street, is expected to be completed by December. It is a 6,000 square-foot facility being built a cost of about $1.5 Million dollars.

AREA HOMES TO BE ELEVATED FOR FLOODS

(SNOHOMISH, WA) -- Four Snohomish area homes will be elevated this fall above their current foundations to withstand future flood events. The four properties to be elevated have filed more than $650,000 in National Flood Insurance Program claims since 1990.

SNOHOMISH LIBRARY CELEBRATES 5 YEARS

(SNOHOMISH, WA) -- This month the Snohomish Library celebrates five years of residency in its new building at 311 Maple Avenue and the community is invited to help celebrate.

The library invites all city residents to join the library staff for special events through out the month including live music, food, book talks, crafts for kids and more.
