(OLYMPIA, WA) -- In what could be a stunning health setback for thousands of families, more than 40,000 of Washington State’s working poor would likely lose their state-subsidized health insurance under terms of a comprise “lean and mean” state budget that could be approved before the state legislature adjourns on Sunday.

(SKYKOMISH, WA) -- A new book out by a one time Skykomish resident features a history of the upper Sky River valley. The “Upper Skykomish Valley," by Warren Carlson is a 128-page soft cover presentation released this week that features a history of the upper valley area from 1890 to present day.
