NEW STUDY: DRUG COMBO MAY NOT BE GOOD FOR WOMEN WITH BREAST CANCER

(ORLANDO, FLA) — A new study, reported Saturday at a cancer conference in Florida to the the American Society of Clinical Oncology, found that breast-cancer survivors risk having their disease come back if they use certain antidepressants while also taking the cancer-prevention drug tamoxifen.

FATAL CRASH ON HY 2 FOUR DAYS AFTER SAFETY SIGN GOES UP

(SKYKOMISH, WA) -- It was Wednesday morning of last week that the Washington State Dep’t of Transportation (WSDOT) unveiled a new electronic sign on US Highway 2 just outside of Monroe that promotes safety. Just four days after the sign went up, a single car accident on U.S. Highway 2 near Skykomish early Saturday morning claimed the life of an unidentified 22-year old man from Leavenworth.

(SACRAMENTO, CA) -- The San Jose Mercury News reports that nearly every state park in the San Francisco Bay Area — from the huge redwoods at Big Basin to Mount Diablo and every state beach from Año Nuevo in San Mateo County to Big Sur — would close as part of budget cuts proposed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
