Title:

COMMUNITY MEETING PLANNED FOR SNOHOMISH

Description:

Snohomish area residents are invited to attend a community meeting hosted by Historic Downtown Snohomish (HDS) on Thursday, January 14, 2010.

The meeting will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Waltz Building, 116 Avenue B.

The meeting will feature a presentation by Bill Baker, President of Total Destination Management (TDM), a Northwest-based tourism marketing company hired by HDS to prepare a Visitor Readiness Audit and Implementation Plan.

At the meeting Baker will present his initial findings and recommendations.

As part of the continuing process TDM will be conducting interviews, workshops, and discussions in the community as well as providing a survey for residents and visitors to take.

The public is invited to contribute comments and insights until January 6, 2010 by completing the survey at www.destinationbranding.com/snohomish survey. Respondents will be entered into a drawing to receive a downtown Snohomish shopping certificate.

The final report, expected to be completed by mid February, will present a series of actions designed to attract more visitors to Snohomish and provide them with even more satisfying experiences, with the ultimate goal of maximizing the community's income from the tourist/visitor trade.

An RSVP for the meeting is desired. Send email to: manager@HistoricDowntownSnohomish.com or call 425-330-0831
