Suspect wanted for allegedly shooting her husband found unconscious at Tacoma cemetery
March 02, 2018

(TACOMA, WA.) – Police say a 59-year old woman who they had been searching for after she allegedly shot her husband, was found unconscious in a vehicle at a cemetery parking lot Thursday morning.

Police said it appeared she had taken some pills. A passerby saw the woman inside her Jeep Cherokee at the Mountain View Cemetery and called 911.

The woman inside the vehicle was not responsive and was taken to an area hospital. She is expected to recover. Meanwhile, her 57-year old husband continues to recover from two gunshot wounds that resulted from the incident that happened Wednesday.

Police think the woman, for reasons unknown, shot her husband as he was working in the family shed at their property in the 2400 block of South 52nd Street and then fled the area.

The incident happened just before 9:00 am. The husband was critically wounded and was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center. He is expected to recover.
