(NATIONAL) –- Robert O'Neill, the ex-Navy SEAL who claims he fired the shots that took down terrorist leader Osama bin Laden, doesn't think much of President Trump’s call to spend millions of taxpayer dollars to hold a giant military parade through Washington, D.C., simply because he wants to have one.

"A military parade is third world bulls--t," O'Neill tweeted. "We prepare. We deter. We fight. Stop this conversation."

This is just the latest public push-back on President Trump’s order to the Pentagon to start planning a big military parade through the streets of Washington, replete with tanks and marching soldiers.

Some of Trump's critics, who view him as a cowardly five-time deferment draft dodger in the Vietnam War, have taken to calling him on the Internet, America's own version of “Little Rocket Man,” the nickname Trump created for North Korea’s dictator or “Captain Bone Spur,” in honor of the ailment that kept Trump out of the Vietnam War – an ailment he says healed itself over time.

Interestingly, both Republicans and Democrats in Washington have blasted the President for the parade order noting that such displays of over-the-top military might are most often the province of dictators who wield hard line authoritarian regimes, like North Korea and China.
