(VANCOUVER, WA.) -- It has been a terrible Christmas season for the family and fiance' of James Rennell for now they know what happened to him.

Rennell, the 41-year old father of a 7-month old daughter went missing Friday Dec. 22nd. He left his boss's house around 8:30 pm that night. An hour later called his fiancé' to say he was on the way home. He never made it there..

There were multiple searches and in one of those searches, they found James Rennell's body Wednesday morning in some bushes. Rennell's sister told a local broadcast TV news reporter his body had been found by a creek behind some new apartments.

Cause of death has not yet been disclosed. Police say the case remains under investigation

KATU-TV in Portland reported that Rennell's car was found last weekend at Leverich Park in Vancouver. According to the TV report it had been "trashed with items that didn't belong to him. His fiancée, Kashala Wilkinson, said Rennells' pants and belt were found in the park."

KPTV-TV reported that investigators believed that Rennell at some point had "been in the area of the park on foot."

A GoFundMe page has been set up here to ease the financial burden on his family at this time.
