At approximately 5:30 pm on August 26th, a 39-year-old man in a pickup truck was stopped at a red light in the 7300 block of Aurora Avenue North when he was surrounded by a large group of motorcyclists.
According to witnesses, there were in excess of one hundred motorcycles traveling throughout the city in a large group that day.
"While stopped at the traffic light, a number of motorcyclists began beating on the side of the victim’s truck and yelling at the driver. The victim called 911 and then got out to confront the suspects," said a police statement.
A group of riders then jumped the man hitting and kicking him and at least one suspect, dressed in a gray motorcycle jacket and tan pants pointed a handgun at the man who was being beaten.
Those who assaulted the man as well as the other motorcycle riders then fled in different directions as officers were arriving.
Fortunately, the man who was beaten was not seriously injured.
While the incident was captured on video, the suspects are all wearing helmets, making identification pretty hard.
