Averill (also a member of the
world famous, Snohomish based Lowdown Ramblers jug band) will take
you though the past, present, and future of Northwest rock.
gig starts at 2:00 pm at the library, located at 2702 Hoyt Avenue in
the 1990s, Seattle took the music world by storm with a new twist on
rock called grunge. The next thing you knew, every garage band in the
world was claiming to be from Seattle (or moved here so they could
legitimately say they were from the Jet City) and looking to snare a
a lot of folks who are new to the northwest have never heard of the
rock pioneers that staked out turf here in the turbulent 1960’s
and rocked everybody’s world.
